Abstract:

Family photographs including portraits, vacation snapshots, pets, etc., from California (Laurel Brook, Yosemite, Sonoma Co.,) and other U.S. locations. Many unidentified and unprinted 35mm negatives may be from the desert southwest or Mexico, circa 1940. Virgil William Jorgensen (California artist), Florence Orr Jorgensen and James Wallace Orr appear in several photographs. Some family history notes are also present.

Photographers of studio portraits include: A.K.P. Trask, Blaul, J.P. Silver, and Applegate, (all from Philadelphia). Most photographs are snapshots by unidentified photographers.
Includes some cabinet cards.
Approximately 80 negatives with no corresponding prints are present, and three with prints. Most are presumed to be nitrate film, therefore all have been stored with restricted nitrate negatives. Digital reference snapshots of these negatives have been printed out to serve as contact sheets, and these are shelved within the box of photographic prints (BANC PIC 1981.036--PIC folder 16).
